We are seeking a skilled and dedicated 2nd shift Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance tasks to ensure the functionality and safety of our facilities. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems, facilities maintenance, and the ability to read schematics. The Maintenance Technician will also have opportunities to demonstrate leadership skills while supervising maintenance projects.
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections of buildings and equipment to identify maintenance needs.
- Perform electrical repairs and installations, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Utilize tools such as an Ohmmeter for troubleshooting electrical issues.
- Execute facilities maintenance tasks including plumbing, HVAC, and general repairs.
- Supervise and coordinate maintenance projects, providing guidance to junior staff as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed.
- Assist in residential painting and other aesthetic improvements as required.
- Collaborate with team members to develop preventive maintenance schedules.
Requirements
- Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, for effective communication.
- Experience in welding is a plus but not mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems and ability to read schematics.
- Previous experience in facilities maintenance is preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to supervise others effectively.
- Familiarity with residential painting techniques is advantageous.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.
