Provides pre‑operative, intra‑operative, and post‑operative nursing care to patients undergoing outpatient surgical procedures
- Conducts patient assessments, reviews medical histories, and ensures readiness for surgery
- Administers medications, monitors vital signs, and maintains patient safety throughout the perioperative process
- Collaborates with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care
- Educates patients and families on surgical procedures, post‑operative expectations, and discharge instructions
- Maintains accurate documentation and adheres to regulatory, safety, and infection‑control standards
- Responds to emergencies and performs interventions within scope of practice
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred
- Current ACLS, BLS, PALS certification
- 1 year of clinical nursing experience, preferably in perioperative, PACU, critical care, or emergency nursing
- Strong assessment, communication, and patient‑education skills
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented surgical environment
