Responsibilities and Duties

Employees are expected to

• Carry out our business model, which considers the customer as the first and most important duty during any assigned shift. Every customer is expected to be treated in a respectful, courteous, and professional manner.
• Maintain customer service as their first priority over any other task and employees are expected to promptly assist customers with their requests regardless of the task at hand.
• Offer to help customers with requests outside (i.e. with the gas pump, air machine, etc.) or inside the store such as answering questions about products, prices, item availability, etc.
• Perform organizing and cleaning tasks such as sweeping and mopping the store, replacing trash bags outside and inside the store, cleaning windows and doors, dust off shelves and products, and any other related task assigned by one of the team management.
• Perform stock and inventory tasks such as replenishing coolers and shelf products, rotating candy and other dated products, and stock missing items from the shelves.
• Perform cash handling tasks in a careful and honest manner, which includes but not limited to, safe drops, shift startup and ending amount, dispensing correct change to customers, balancing cash drawer at all times, etc.
• Be able to perform simple math calculations to determine correct amount or change due to and from the customer.
• Follow all training instructions to carry out store opening and closing procedure.
• Effectively communicate with the management team to get directions on how to perform certain tasks and to forward customer concerns as needed.
• Have the ability or educational background to work with a computerized register system.
• Be able to perform occasional lifting of up to 30 pounds of weight.
• Adjust pace to accommodate customer surge during rush/busy hours.
