DESCRIPTION:
Thomas Electronics in Clyde, NY is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team. This exciting new opportunity will be an integral part of the maintenance team and key to maintaining reliable equipment and facilities.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance on assigned machinery and facilities areas,
- Diagnose and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC’s, manufacturing equipment,
- Identify and fix potential safety hazards,
- Maintain sidewalks in the winter, including shoveling and spreading salt,
- Assist with facility layouts and resets,
- Facilities cleaning as required,
- All other duties as assigned.
RECOMMENDED EDUCATION / SKILLS:
- Trade school or related training and knowledge,
- Plumbing,
- Electrical,
- Constructions,
- Repair of manufacturing equipment,
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and schematics,
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities,
- Ability to work as an individual contributor, team players, and the ability to drive the team and project to successful completion,
- Strong communications skills
RECOMMENDED EXPERIENCE:
- 2 years experience in the plumbing, electrical, or related field.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This position will work primarily in a manufacturing environment. Work environment may or may not be climate controlled and may be exposed to a variety of weather elements.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be on their feet performing physical work 90% of the workday, including but not limited to standing, walking, frequent bending, lifting, stopping, kneeling and regularly lifting and/or move 50 pounds plus.
