Senior Accountant III – Financial Reporting & Technical Accounting
Position Summary
The Senior Accountant III – Financial Reporting & Technical Accounting supports the preparation and review of external financial reporting deliverables, internal reporting packages, and technical accounting research. This role partners across multiple departments to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting while also contributing to process improvement initiatives and operational efficiencies.
- Key Responsibilities: Execute complex accounting and reporting tasks while maintaining compliance with internal policies, procedures, and controls.
- Support preparation and review of SEC disclosures
- Analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide insights to support business and reporting objectives.
- Review and reconcile financial information to ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to improve processes and implement best practices.
- Prepare and review financial reports and supporting schedules.
- Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying inefficiencies and recommending solutions.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members as needed.
- Reporting & Technical Accounting Responsibilities: Assist with the preparation and review of quarterly and annual external reporting disclosures.
- Research and interpret new or evolving accounting and reporting guidance.
- Evaluate the financial reporting impact of complex transactions and accounting matters.
- Participate in reporting process improvement and transformation initiatives.
- Prepare ad hoc financial analyses and reporting requests.
- Partner with departments such as Legal, Tax, and external auditors to support reporting accuracy and compliance.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
- CPA or actively pursuing required
- Experience: 3 years of accounting or related experience
- Public accounting and/or external reporting experience preferred
- Industry experience preferred but not required
- Skills & Knowledge: Experience working with accounting and reporting systems
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Process improvement mindset
- Understanding of the accounting close and reporting cycle
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Salary : $110,000 - $125,000
