Position Summary

We are seeking a reliable, detailed-oriented, and customer-focused Courier to join our bakery team. In this role, you will be responsible for the prompt, safe and secure transportation of inter-company and wholesale goods to local destinations. If you have a clean driving record, excellent time management skills and a commitment to top-tier service we want to hear from you for this part-time position working approximately 15 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities

• Timely Deliveries: Plan efficient routes and transport between our business properties and wholesale clients within established timeframes.
• Safe Operation: Operate a company-provided vehicle safely, obeying all local traffic laws and safety regulations.
• Documentation: Maintain shipping documents to obtain delivery receipts and record any delivery exceptions or discrepancies.
• Customer Service: Interact professionally and courteously with clients, customers, and recipients upon drop-off and pick-up.
• Package Handling: Load and unload items securely to prevent damage, verifying that all items match manifests before departure.
• Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine daily pre-trip vehicle inspections, check fluid levels, and report maintenance needs promptly for Ford E-350 7.3Liter V* with dual rear wheels and lift gate commercial vehicle.

Qualifications & Requirements

• License: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (no major violations or excessive points).
• Preferred but not required: Courier or delivery driver or similar driving role
• Skills: Strong working knowledge of local geography.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to push carts of bakery items onto lift gate and secure rack within vehicle. Must be able to walk and climb to deliver goods to local destinations.
• Soft Skills: Excellent punctuality, organizational abilities, and professional communication skills.
• Age: Minimum age requirement of 21 years old as required for commercial auto insurance policy.

Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is typically low to moderate.
