Responsibilities
- Operate cash registers efficiently, accurately handling retail sales transactions and cash drawer management.
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions, and assisting with product selections.
- Conduct product demos to showcase features and benefits, encouraging customer engagement and upselling opportunities.
- Maintain knowledge of store products and merchandising standards to assist customers effectively.
- Stock shelves, organize displays, and ensure the sales floor remains clean, inviting, and well-organized.
- Use POS (Point of Sale) systems to process payments via cash, credit/debit cards, or mobile payments while adhering to proper cash handling procedures.
- Demonstrate phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely.
- Support team members with supervising experience by collaborating on store operations and ensuring excellent service delivery.
Experience
- Previous cashiering experience in a retail environment is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash register operations, and retail math for accurate transaction processing.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to connect with diverse customers in a bilingual setting is a plus.
- Experience in upselling, merchandising, stocking, or retail sales enhances your ability to succeed in this role.
- Basic math skills are essential for managing cash transactions confidently and accurately.
- Prior supervising experience or leadership roles are advantageous but not mandatory; we value proactive team players eager to learn.
