Patient Experience Ambassador - Healthcare | Location: Fresno, CA 93721
Compensation: $23.50 per hour| Full-Time
Schedule: Monday-Friday: 8:00-4:30pm, no mandatory holiday shifts.
Job Summary
We are seeking a Patient Experience Ambassador to help create exceptional dining and hospitality experiences for patients and their families. As a key member of the patient experience team, you'll build meaningful connections through daily interactions, support individualized meal experiences, and serve as a trusted resource for patient dining needs. This role is ideal for a compassionate, service-oriented professional who is passionate about enhancing well-being through genuine hospitality, personalized service, and our commitment to REAL food.
What You'll Do
- Conduct new admission visits and patient rounding to build meaningful connections and ensure a positive dining experience.
- Gather, document, and communicate patient feedback, preferences, and service concerns to support continuous improvement.
- Monitor patient satisfaction metrics and identify opportunities to enhance service and hospitality.
- Collaborate with nursing, clinical, and food service teams to support individualized patient needs and service recovery efforts.
- Share patient experience insights during team meetings and contribute to action plans that improve satisfaction and engagement.
- Support Unit Host programs through observations, audits, and coaching opportunities.
- Maintain accurate records, rounding logs, and patient experience documentation.
- Promote a culture of hospitality, service excellence, and accountability throughout assigned units.
- Partner with leadership to support patient satisfaction initiatives and operational goals.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What You Will Bring
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 2–4 years of customer service, hospitality, healthcare, or patient-facing experience preferred.
- Proven ability to resolve concerns with professionalism, empathy, and sound judgment.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
- Passion for hospitality, patient satisfaction, and service excellence.
- Ability to maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and accountability in a healthcare environment.
- Leadership experience and experience working with volunteers are a plus.
- Commitment to continuous learning and staying current on patient experience best practices.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
Physical and Sensory Requirements
This role requires frequent standing and walking, with regular bending, twisting, kneeling, and squatting throughout the workday. Occasional reaching, climbing, and crawling may be required. Team members must be able to regularly lift, carry, push, and pull up to 25 pounds while performing daily responsibilities.
