Barista - Hospital Café | Location: Fresno Metropolitan Area
Compensation: $23.25-$25.67 per hour DOE | Full-time

Job Summary
As a hospital Barista, you’ll provide friendly, efficient service to patients, visitors, and staff by preparing and serving coffee, beverages, and light food items. You’ll maintain a clean and welcoming café environment, follow food safety standards, and ensure timely service in a fast-paced healthcare setting. This role requires excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with hospital staff to support a positive experience for all guests.
What You'll Do
- Operate a cash register with an accuracy of 99.85% (plus or minus).
- Prepare handcrafted coffee and espresso beverages following recipes and quality standards.
- Educate guests on menu offerings and help them find the right selections.
- Stock and maintain coffee bar supplies, beverages, and service areas.
- Support meal service preparation and ensure products are ready for guests.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workspace.
- Follow workplace standards, food safety practices, and service schedules.
- Collaborate with the team to create a welcoming, efficient dining experience.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What You Will Bring
- High School Diploma/GED
- 6 months previous experience in a customer service role
- ServSafe® Certification and State Food Handlers Card
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen
Physical and Sensory Requirements
- This job involves regular exposure to moving mechanical parts and a kitchen environment with fumes, airborne particles, and moderate noise. Employees must have the physical stamina to stand for long periods, lift trays, and perform repetitive tasks.
