Barista/Cashier – Corporate Office Café | Location: Boise, ID 83706

Compensation: $18-$19 per hour| Full-Time

Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 6:30am-3pm; Friday, 8am-12pm

Job Summary

As a Barista/Retail Associate, you’ll provide friendly, efficient service to employees, visitors, and staff by preparing and serving coffee and beverage items. You'll also handle transactions, maintain a clean and welcoming café environment, follow food safety standards, and ensure timely service in a fast-paced setting. This role requires excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with others to support a positive experience for all guests.

What You'll Do

• Prepare and serve beverages including coffee, espresso drinks, teas, and specialty items following established recipes and quality standards.
• Provide friendly, professional customer service to employees, visitors, and building staff.
• Operate a cashless point-of-sale system, accurately processing transactions through card or mobile payments.
• Maintain café cleanliness, including counters, equipment, and self-service stations.
• Restock supplies such as dairy, cups, lids, condiments, pastries, merchandise, self-serve stations and grab-and-go items throughout the day.
• Support food service operations by assisting with coffee catering services, replenishing displays, and ensuring items are properly labeled and presented.
• Follow all safety and sanitation standards, including proper equipment use and food-handling procedures.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth daily operations and consistent service levels.
• Communicate inventory needs and equipment issues to management promptly.

What You Will Bring 

• Experience in a café, coffee shop, or customer-service environment preferred but not required. 
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills. 
• Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy setting. 
• Comfortable working with technology and point-of-sale systems. 
• Commitment to cleanliness, consistency, and high service standards. 
• Maintain a professional appearance in a corporate setting. 
• Ability to stand for extended periods 
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs as needed. 
• ServSafe® Certification and State Food Handlers Card 
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen
• High School Diploma/GED 

Physical and Sensory Requirements

• This job involves regular exposure to moving mechanical parts and a kitchen environment with fumes, airborne particles, and moderate noise. Employees must have the physical stamina to stand for long periods, lift trays, and perform repetitive tasks. Occasional exposure to wet or humid conditions, extreme temperatures, and vibration may occur. Reasonable accommodations are available for individuals with disabilities.
