Superintendent Overview:
Superintendents will coordinate and manage all on-site activities, as well work with project teams including Project Managers, Foreman, and Field Personnel and other office departments, to deliver successful projects to owners, on time and on budget with the desired level of quality. Including construction of commercial projects (educational, government, hospital facilities) ranging from $1 million to $50 million.
Superintendent duties include, but are not limited to:
- A building project superintendent is the onsite leader responsible for the daily management, supervision, and coordination of all construction activities to ensure the project is completed safely, on time, and within budget. They serve as the primary link between the field crews and the project manager or general contractor.

- Site Management & Supervision: Oversee all day-to-day operations on the job site, including directing crews and ensuring work is performed according to design plans and specifications.

- Coordination and Communication: Act as the main point of contact for subcontractors, suppliers, architects, engineers, and clients, ensuring clear communication and resolving conflicts or issues quickly to avoid delays.
- Resource and Material Management: Coordinate and track material stock, equipment availability, and labor force allocation to ensure all necessary resources are on-site when needed.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive daily logs, progress reports, inspection records, and other project documentation to track progress and report to project management and stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving: Address and resolve unexpected on-site issues, such as weather delays, supply chain disruptions, or technical problems, implementing solutions to keep the project moving forward.
