Construction Laborer

Job Overview

BlueClay Construction Resources is seeking a reliable, hardworking, and safety-focused Construction Laborer to join our growing team. This position plays an important role in supporting commercial construction projects through site cleanup and maintenance, material handling, carpentry assistance, landscaping activities, equipment support, and general labor duties. Successful candidates will take pride in their work, maintain a positive attitude, and contribute to a safe, clean, and productive job site environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform site cleanup, debris removal, and material disposal.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites throughout all phases of construction.
• Assist with carpentry-related tasks when needed - including measuring, cutting, assembling, and installing construction materials under supervision.
• Load, unload, move, and organize tools, equipment, and construction materials.
• Assist with landscaping and grounds maintenance activities as needed.
• Support skilled trades personnel on various job site tasks.
• Set up and remove barricades, fencing, signage, and temporary site protection measures.
• Assist with project closeout activities to ensure sites are delivered in a clean and professional condition.
• Help maintain company-owned tools, equipment, and job site assets.
• Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
• Adhere to all company safety policies, job site rules, and OSHA regulations.
• Follow directions from upper management, supervisors, foremen, and project managers while working independently when required.
• Attend safety meetings and participate in training programs.
• Complete assigned tasks efficiently while maintaining quality workmanship.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors and project managers to support project success.

Qualifications

• · Previous experience in commercial construction, general labor, landscaping, site services, or related fields is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of construction tools, equipment, and job site safety practices is preferred.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Strong communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
• Dependable attendance and punctuality are required.
• Ability to adapt to changing project needs and priorities.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 75 pounds regularly.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, squat, climb, and perform physical labor throughout the workday.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions including heat, cold, rain, and humidity.
• Ability to safely use construction tools and equipment while maintaining awareness of surrounding hazards.
