Position Summary

As a Cleaning Technician at Thomas Carpet Cleaners, Inc., you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional service while following clearly defined systems and procedures. This role requires both technical craftsmanship and administrative accuracy to maintain our high operational standards.

You will be responsible not only for producing high-quality cleaning results, but also for ensuring that every step of the process is properly documented, communicated, and executed.

ResponsibilitiesTechnical Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning of carpets and area rugs using appropriate techniques, chemistry, and equipment
• Evaluate rug fibers, construction, and condition before cleaning
• Follow all pre-wash, wash, and post-wash procedures according to company SOPs
• Ensure all cleaning tasks meet or exceed company quality standards
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of tools, wash areas, and equipment

Administrative & Systems Responsibilities

• Accurately document work orders, notes, and job details in company software systems
• Follow established workflows for rug intake, tagging, tracking, and completion
• Complete required paperwork and digital documentation at each stage of the cleaning process
• Communicate clearly with the office regarding job updates, issues, or special instructions
• Adhere strictly to company systems, procedures, and operational checklists
• Ensure all documentation is completed before a job is considered finished
• Assist in maintaining inventory control and reporting supply needs

Team & Professional Responsibilities

• Communicate professionally with clients to understand their needs and expectations
• Adhere to safety protocols and environmental regulations at all times
• Assist in training new team members on proper techniques and procedural standards
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development

Requirements

• Previous experience in area rug cleaning or a strong motivation to learn
• Ability to follow structured systems and step-by-step procedures without deviation
• Strong administrative discipline and attention to detail
• Commitment to completing documentation accurately and consistently
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment
• Clear and professional communication skills
• Physical stamina required for manual labor associated with cleaning
