Role Description: This is a full-time hybrid Paralegal role based in Orlando, FL, with work-from-home flexibility three days per week. The Paralegal will support attorneys by drafting and organizing legal documents, preparing case files, and managing deadlines. Daily responsibilities include conducting legal and factual research, reviewing documents for accuracy and completeness, and maintaining orderly electronic and physical records. The role involves frequent communication with attorneys, clients, courts, and outside parties to coordinate information and ensure timely filings. The Paralegal will assist with scheduling, tracking case progress, and applying firm procedures to help meet and exceed client service expectations.
Qualifications:
- Strong foundation in law, with knowledge of legal procedures and court rules relevant to the firm’s practice areas.
- Proficiency in legal document preparation, including drafting pleadings, motions, correspondence, and basic agreements.
- Experience with document review, including checking for accuracy, consistency, and compliance with legal standards, including privilege issues.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with attorneys, clients, and court personnel.
- Solid research skills, including legal research using online databases and fact-gathering from client files and public records.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with attention to detail and reliability in meeting deadlines.
- Competence with standard office software and legal practice management tools; comfort working with electronic case files.
- Paralegal certificate or relevant degree preferred; prior law firm or legal office experience is beneficial.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, maintaining confidentiality and professional ethics at all times.
