Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain audiovisual equipment such as video conferencing systems, audio systems, digital signal processors, and control system components.
- Troubleshoot AV system issues efficiently by diagnosing hardware and software problems using schematics, electrical diagrams, and engineering troubleshooting techniques.
- Operate and support live event AV production projects, ensuring high-quality audio and visual delivery.
- Read blueprints and electrical schematics to accurately install cabling, wiring, and mechanical components for AV systems.
- Perform routine maintenance on AV equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Implement telecommunication solutions and integrate low voltage wiring with existing electrical infrastructure.
- Provide field service support by conducting site surveys, system testing, and customer training on AV system operation.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working in the AV industry with a strong understanding of audiovisual control systems operation and equipment troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, electrical diagrams, and mechanical drawings related to AV system installation.
- Knowledge of computer networking principles applicable to AV systems including IP-based video conferencing solutions.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, cable management techniques, and electrical schematic reading for effective installation.
- Familiarity with digital signal processing (DSP), software troubleshooting, and implementing audio systems in various environments.
- Experience working on live event AV production projects with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with electrical experience to support complex AV setups.
- Ability to interpret electrical schematics accurately and perform electrical wiring or cabling tasks safely.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with clients and team members effectively while providing technical support.
