The Part-Time Caregiver provides direct care and support to residents in a Community-Based Residential Facility (CBRF). This position ensures the health, safety, comfort, and overall well-being of residents while promoting independence, dignity, and respect. Caregivers assist with daily living activities, cooking, medication administration (if certified), and help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care assistance such as bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and mobility support.
- Assist residents with meals, including meal preparation, cooking, serving, and feeding when necessary.
- Support residents with daily living activities while encouraging independence.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed.
- Monitor and report changes in residents’ physical, emotional, or mental health to supervisors.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care and services provided.
- Assist with light housekeeping duties, laundry, and maintaining a clean living environment.
- Support residents with recreational and social activities.
- Follow all state regulations, facility policies, and safety procedures.
- Provide compassionate, respectful, and professional care at all times.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- Previous caregiving, CNA, or related experience (preferred but not required).
- CBRF certifications (Medication Administration, Fire Safety, First Aid/Choking, Standard Precautions) (preferred).
- Ability to lift, transfer, and provide physical support to residents as needed.
- Strong communication, patience, and problem-solving skills.
- Must be dependable, compassionate, and able to work well in a team.
Work Schedule:
- Part-time position.
- Rotating schedule with every other weekend required.
- Shifts may include days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays depending on facility needs.
Work Environment:
- Small group home/community-based setting.
- Requires physical activity such as lifting, bending, and assisting residents with mobility.
Pay Rates
- PCW- $12
- CBRF (all four classes) - $13
- CNA - $14
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour
