Our team creates highly detailed scenic elements, props, and environments that bring creative concepts to life on time and within budget.
Position Summary
The Scenic Fabricator is a hands-on role responsible for building, finishing, and assembling scenic elements and props across a variety of themed projects. This temporary, project-based position is ideal for someone with a versatile skill set in scenic painting, prop fabrication, foam sculpting, and mold making. Work is primarily performed in-shop, with occasional on-site support as needed.
Key Responsibilities

Fabricate scenic elements, props, and custom components based on project requirements.

Execute scenic painting, faux finishes, distressing, and texturing techniques.

Sculpt, carve, and shape foam for dimensional scenic applications.

Assist with mold making and casting processes.

Select and apply appropriate materials, coatings, adhesives, and fabrication methods.

Interpret renderings, shop drawings, and creative direction to meet design intent.

Work within production schedules and budget requirements.

Support prep, assembly, load-in, installation, and on-site touch-ups as needed.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Communicate progress, material needs, and challenges to leadership.
Required Skills & Qualifications

Experience in scenic fabrication, scenic painting, prop building, foam sculpting, and/or mold making.

Strong knowledge of scenic materials, tools, and applications.

Ability to interpret drawings, renderings, and design concepts.

Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Reliable attendance and transportation.

Ability to lift and handle materials as part of daily shop work.
Preferred Qualifications

Experience in haunted attractions, holiday/Christmas builds, or themed entertainment.

Background in experiential, tradeshow, or immersive environment fabrication.

Experience with casting, faux finishes, distressing, and specialty scenic treatments.

Familiarity with on-site installation and scenic touch-up work.

Compensation
$20–$35 per hour, based on experience and skill set.
