FULL-TIME PRODUCTION ASSISTANT & SHIPPING POSITION
Job description:
Our small, vibrant art firm is seeking a service-oriented individual to support our Shipping/Fulfillment needs, and to assist our Art Production department where needed. The ideal candidate doesn’t necessarily need warehouse or art production experience, but will be customer-service oriented, reliable, able to work independently, be a quick learner, flexible, and able to work well with small, diverse teams. Our environment is casual but hardworking.
Must pass background test.
Shipping Duties:
- Carefully packaging fine art orders of paper, canvas and finished art.
- Using order management software to manage customers' orders through the fulfillment process.
- Receiving deliveries: unpacking, counting and sorting incoming stock.
- Coordinating drop shipments with vendors.
- International, FedEx.com and UPS.com shipping.
- Custom packaging and box-building for large fine art products.
- Sourcing/ordering inventory of packing supplies
- Providing sales reps and customers with shipping and freight quotes.
- Keeping work area clean, tidy and organized.
Art Production Support Duties
- Quality-check print-on-demand orders.
- Hand-trim canvas and paper prints; hand-embellish images with paint, acrylic mediums and metallic foils; varnish art canvases, etc.
- Photography of original fine art.
- Upload art images to our website.
- Trimming and checking orders
- Changing out rolls on printers and keeping orders printing.
- Assembling and shipping sample boxes/substrate booklets.
- Other projects and tasks as needed.
REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Must be able to match numbers and letters.
- Ability to regularly lift between 1 and 50 lbs.
- Able to stand on feet for long periods of time.
- Strong general computer experience (MS Word, Outlook, Web-based apps).
