JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a veterinary assistant for part-time hours with the potential for growth. Because we are a small team, this role includes both assistant and reception responsibilities, though reception will not be the primary focus. Our ideal candidate is upbeat, dependable, self-motivated, and a strong team player with excellent communication skills. Reliability and collaboration are essential, as we rely on one another to keep the practice running smoothly while respecting time outside of work.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Responsibilities include patient intake and history taking, patient restraint, administering vaccinations, venipuncture, processing in-house laboratory work, assisting in exams and surgeries, and caring for hospitalized patients. Additional duties include basic janitorial tasks, answering multi-line phones, scheduling appointments, invoicing, and providing clear, compassionate communication to clients. At least 6 months experience working in a veterinary setting is required.
