Description:This is a fully REMOTE position. We are a small, high-performing, and rapidly growing 20-person company with team members in Washington, Colorado, California, and Oregon. We are looking for a passionate and talented Data Engineer to join our team and help us make a real difference in the lives of children and families. About the RoleThis role is critical in directly impacting the company’s mission to provide data-driven insights to improve early childhood education across the country. 3Si is entering a period of significant growth and expansion, with several new contracts and expansions expected in 2026. This growth will require building and maintaining robust, scalable, and secure data pipelines. The Data Engineer will help to maintain operational tasks, improve data quality and consistency, and empower other teams to access and utilize data more effectively. The Data Engineer will work closely with other data engineers and BI analysts to implement a vision for a more automated and user-friendly data platform that can be easily deployed to clients. ResponsibilitiesBuild and maintain robust and scalable data pipelines using Python and SQL. Contribute to the development of a modular platform architecture that supports client-specific customizations while maintaining a clean and efficient core system. Develop and implement automation for routine operational tasks, such as data ingestion and configuration management. This includes automating manual data uploading processes. Develop and maintain a comprehensive unit testing framework for ETL processes and data transformations to ensure data quality. Work directly with clients and cross-functional teams; strong communication skills and professionalism are essential. Requirements:3 years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role Strong programming skills in Python and SQL. Experience working with cloud environments for data storage, processing, and deployment. Experience with workflow orchestration tools. Experience with data modeling, ETL development, and data warehousing. Experience with unit testing and source control. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences. Ability to work independently and as part of an agile team. Ability to effectively prioritize tasks and manage time to meet deadlines. Strong problem-solving skills and a desire to learn and grow professionally. Bonus PointsExperience building and maintaining APIs that facilitate data movement across systems. Experience developing and deploying ML pipelines, LLM models, and predictive analytics solutions. Salary : $120,000 - $135,000
