What are the responsibilities and job description for the BOH Line Cook position at Third Place by Half Full Brewery?
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled BOH line cook to join our culinary team as we continue to expand our kitchen. Candidates will work directly alongside the current line cook team, as well as the Culinary Operations Manager to run our on site food trailer and other future culinary endeavors.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and standards.
- Assist in meal preparation, including chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, following all state and local health regulations.
- Ensure all food handling procedures comply with health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with other Back of House staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Help with inventory management by tracking food supplies and notifying management of shortages.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively, including knives and cooking appliances.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a line cook in a restaurant, food truck, or catering environment.
- Knowledge of food handling practices and BOH culinary safety regulations preferred.
- Knife skills and familiarity with various cooking techniques and equipment preferred.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
- ServSafe Food Handler certification required; holding certification is a plus, we will provide if not currently certified.
