Job Description: Nursery Worker
Location: Third Baptist Church, Owensboro, KY
Hours: 3 hours per week (Sunday mornings)
Compensation: Rate commensurate with experience
Position Summary:
Third Baptist Church is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nursery Worker to care for infants and toddlers during our Sunday morning services. The ideal candidate will provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for young children while fostering positive interactions with parents and caregivers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide attentive and loving care to infants and toddlers in the nursery during Sunday morning services.
- Ensure the safety, security, and well-being of all children in the nursery.
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities, including playtime, songs, and simple stories.
- Follow the church's established safety guidelines.
- Maintain a clean and organized nursery space.
- Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers about their child's needs and experiences in the nursery.
- Be punctual, reliable, and available.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working with young children in a nursery, childcare, or similar setting is preferred.
- Ability to provide nurturing care and maintain a safe environment for infants and toddlers.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must pass a background check as required by the church.
- CPR and First Aid training (or willingness to obtain certification) is preferred.
