Duties
- Merchandise food products attractively to maximize sales and appeal to customers’ preferences
- Assist customers with product selection, answer questions about cuts and preparation methods, and provide exceptional service
- Handle food products safely by following proper food handling, sanitation, and safety protocols
- Package meats efficiently for retail display or customer take-home needs, ensuring freshness and proper labeling
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations and equipment according to food safety standards
- Support inventory management by restocking displays, rotating stock, and monitoring product freshness
Requirements
- Proven experience in food production, food preparation, or kitchen environments; restaurant experience is highly valued
- 21 years of age or older
- Strong knife skills and expertise in food prep techniques
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Familiarity with packaging techniques suitable for retail meat products
- Culinary experience or background in the food industry is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential
