Math Competition Coach:
Think Academy is actively looking for Math Competition Coach who have a strong math competition background and are passionate about delivering teaching/teaching services to middle school students who has strong math background and looking to advanced more in math competition track, such as AMC 8/ AMC 10 & AIME.
Applicants join us from different backgrounds with no prior teaching-related experience required but need to have strong math background and competition experience preferred. OPT/CPT is sponsored for this position to the suitable candidate
Job Responsibilities:
Mathematics Teaching - Engaged in the full cycle Math Competition teaching/teaching services for middle school students
- Teach math competitions like AMC8, AMC10/12, Math Olympiad in a virtual classroom setting via Think teaching platform (live class)
- Develop, execute and reiterate classes that reflect Think's curriculum and teaching methods to maximize the students' learning outcome
- Exercise open and respectful communication with students, parents and colleagues to create and maintain interactive Think communities
- Attend the internal teacher training program at Think to prepare and advance yourself as a professional educator
- Work with world-class curriculum design and teacher management teams to advance teaching-related services
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Experience in participating/coaching National/International Math Competitions is required
- Teaching experience in AMC 8, AMC 10/12, and other Math Competition is preferred
- Bachelor’s degree or above (open to all majors), Education, or STEM-related majors are preferred
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills in English
- A quick learner who can adapt to a new environment with a growth mindset
- Willing to join the entrepreneurial team and explore how to build an organization from the ground-up
- Bilingual in Mandarin is a big plus, but not required
