Job Title: Administrative Assistant
Position Summary
The Administrative Assistant plays a key support role in the day-to-day operations of the company. This position is responsible for handling a variety of administrative tasks, supporting leadership, assisting with event coordination, helping with basic accounting and data entry functions, and keeping the office organized and running smoothly. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, professional, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide general administrative support to the leadership team and other departments as needed
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls in a professional manner
- Manage office communications, scheduling, and general correspondence
- Assist with planning and coordinating company events, meetings, trainings, and employee activities
- Order office supplies and maintain inventory of office essentials
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate records across internal systems
- Assist with document preparation, filing, and organization of company records
- Support basic accounting functions such as invoice processing, expense tracking, purchase support, and other administrative accounting tasks
- Help coordinate travel arrangements, meeting logistics, and calendars as needed
- Assist with onboarding-related administrative tasks and internal paperwork
- Serve as a general point of support for office operations and special projects
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional office environment
- Handle sensitive or confidential information with discretion
Qualifications
- Associate degree or bachelor’s degree strongly preferred
- 2 years of administrative or office support experience preferred
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and follow-through skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally
- Comfortable working in multiple systems and performing accurate data entry
- Ability to support a fast-paced office environment with shifting priorities
- Must live within 25 miles of Lexington, NC
- Must be willing to perform a background check prior to hire
Work Environment
- In-person, onsite Monday-Friday in Lexington, NC
- Requires strong professionalism, follow-through, and willingness to jump in where needed
- Success in this role depends on being organized, responsive, resourceful, and able to keep multiple moving pieces on track
