What are the responsibilities and job description for the Events Intern position at Thine?
About Thine
Thine is an ambient AI memory assistant that passively listens to your life - meetings, conversations, decisions, random 2am ideas - and builds a living, searchable memory of it all. Calendar, email, people, context - all connected, all quiet. Smart nudges when you actually need them. The second brain you were promised. Finally.
We're built by the same team behind Merlin AI - a multi-million dollar ARR AI platform used by millions worldwide. Thine is our moonshot: a deeply personal AI that knows you better over time. We're currently in private beta with 100 early users, backed by serious investors, and operating out of Bangalore with a growing presence in the US.
Available on iPhone only. For now.
The Role
We're looking for someone based in the SF, US who can be the face and feet of Thine on the ground. This isn't a sit-behind-a-laptop role - you'll be out in the world representing Thine at events, meetups, demo days, and anywhere interesting people gather.
What You'll Do
- Attend tech events, startup meetups, founder dinners, and conferences as Thine's on-ground representative
- Shoot content - reels, behind-the-scenes, interviews, event recaps, product demos - you're the one-person content crew
- Talk to founders, PMs, creators, and power users about Thine in a way that's genuine, not salesy
- Feed insights back to the team - what people love, what confuses them, what they wish Thine could do
- Handle event logistics including print, merch logistics, conduct activations, handle delivery, response collection, follow ups
- Research venues, vendors, and pricing
- Coordinate with caterers, decorators, AV teams
- Track RSVPs and guest lists (often in Excel or tools like Eventbrite, Luma or Google Sheets)
- Prep materials: badges, schedules, signage
- Help create run-of-show (minute-by-minute plan)
- Track expenses and invoices
You're a Good Fit If
- You're comfortable on camera and enjoy being in front of one - not awkward, not overproduced, just real
- You genuinely enjoy meeting people and can hold a conversation with anyone from a first-time founder to a seasoned VC
- You understand the US tech/startup ecosystem - you know what YC Demo Day is, you've been to at least one hackathon, you get the culture
- You have strong communication skills - written and spoken - and can represent a brand without sounding like a press release
- You're a self-starter who doesn't need to be told what to shoot, who to talk to, or where to show up
- You have a genuine interest in AI, or productivity tools space
- Bonus: You already have a personal brand or following on Twitter/X, TikTok, LinkedIn, or YouTube
Compensation: To be discussed.
