What are the responsibilities and job description for the Extraction Tech position at THINC CUBED LLC?
Sock Packing:
- Ensure PPE is worn when breaking down and packing socks
- Ensure there are enough socks packed for the extractor’s entire shift
- Communicate with extractors to ensure correct amount of biomass is packed in each sock (Ex: Not too much weight, not too little weight)
- Ensure the correct strain/manifest is being packed and nothing is mixed unless directly requested
- Ensure all product packed into socks, or broken down in totes, is tagged with the correct information
- Manifest number, Biomass strain name, Preliminary UID, Weight
- Break down biomass into smaller chunks to allow for easier packing of socks and a better extraction process
- Use of power tools to help break down biomass quicker with less physical labor
- Pack 60 socks a day
- Ensure EACH GROUP OF 3 SOCKS is tied & tagged with the correct information.
- Trim Socks: Between 2.5 lbs – 3.33 lbs per sock
- Fresh Frozen Socks: 3.33 lbs – 4.66 lbs per sock
- Ensure chest freezer is fully loaded with socks and correctly labeled with: Manifest number, Strain name, UID.
CRC:
- Ensure PPE is worn at any time you are exposed to Filtration Powders
- Break down, clean and reassemble all CRC filters columns used throughout the extraction process
- Fully disassemble, wash and reassemble each CRC column used
- Ensure all filtration media powder is removed from the CRC column prior to washing
- Use 99% ISO and the sonicators for the cleaning process
- Ensure all filtration media powders are prepped and baking so that filters can continue to be produced throughout the day
- Communicate with extractors to figure out what type of filtration is needed (Ex: Light trim filtration, Heavy trim filtration, Fresh Frozen filtration, ETC.)
- Adjustments to amounts of each filtration media powder will be made depending on which type of filtration is required.
- Use dolly to move filters around and ensure no unnecessary heavy lifting occurs when loading onto the filter rack
- Estimated weight per CRC Column: 50 lbs
- Dollys are designed to allow filters to be placed on rack without the tech having to lift the column
General Requirements:
- Be on feet/moving for 8-9 hours a day
- Lift at least 50 lbs
- General understanding of how to use tools / power tools.
- Notify office when running low on supplies
- Maintain / clean PPE
