Role Description
We are seeking an experienced and professional Truck Driver to join our team. In this role, you will transport a variety of goods and materials from one location to another. You will plan the most efficient route, ensure adherence to delivery schedules, and perform routine vehicle inspections and preventative maintenance. The ideal candidate has experience driving trucks and makes safety a number one priority. Will be required to help on non driving operations when needed. Must be able to work nights and weekends on call on occasion and if needed.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine safety inspections and preventative maintenance
- Adhere to delivery schedules
- Maintaining a detailed driving log including work periods, rest, and fuel expenses
- Comply with all company policies and driving laws
- Transporting of goods and materials between locations
Qualifications
- Possession of a valid CDL Class A license and proven truck driving experience
- Ability to handle unloading tasks safely and efficiently
- Knowledge of DOT Regulations and their application to daily operations
- Strong understanding of truck operation, maintenance, and safety procedures
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Commitment to adhering to safety protocols and company policies
- Physical fitness to perform manual labor and handle cargo
- Class B Rolloff experience preferred
- Tanker endorsement preferred
- Willing to travel regularly and drive long distances
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
