What are the responsibilities and job description for the Laundry Worker position at Thibodaux Regional Health System?
Responsible for ensuring that the hospital’s linen is processed and delivered to all departments daily.
• Collects and sorts soiled linen.
• Dries, folds and stacks clean linen.
• Counts, records, delivers and cleans linens to different departments.
• Follows established policies and procedures for handling of soiled linen.
• Disposes of hazardous waste according to stringent procedures.
• Inventories linen items periodically to determine replacement needs and maintain adequate supply.
Educational and/or Professional Qualifications:
1. High school diploma or GED preferred.
Other Special Training/Skills:
1. Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
2. Must have a valid driver's license.
