What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clinical Lead - Medical Oncology position at Thibodaux Regional Health System?
Participates with the Oncology Director in the development and implementation of the philosophy and objectives for the clinical services provided at the Cancer Institute. Provides day-to-day clinical and operational leadership of a busy oncology clinic, supervises the clinic team, delivers orientation and educational in-services, and performs a variety of clinical duties in support of the physicians and advanced practice providers while creating a positive patient experience. Develops, implements, and collaborates on standards of quality care and patient safety.
Educational and/or Professional Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Nursing required.
Previous Experience:
1. A minimum of three years of general nursing experience required.
2. Previous managerial or lead experience preferred (advanced education is desirable).
3. Oncology experience preferred.
4. Knowledge of clinical standards for JCAHO regulations in a clinic setting.
Licensure, Certification, Registration, etc.:
1. Valid registration as a Registered Nurse in the State of Louisiana.
2. ONC certification encouraged.
