This position has about 5 to 10 hours of overtime weekly.
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of offices, restrooms, hallways, and common areas using appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment.
- Conduct floor care tasks such as sweeping, mopping, buffing, and polishing to maintain a pristine appearance.
- Handle custodial duties including trash removal, dusting surfaces, disinfecting high-touch areas, and restocking supplies.
- Utilize industrial cleaning techniques for specialized tasks like carpet cleaning or deep sanitation when necessary.
- Ensure safety protocols are followed during all cleaning activities to promote a hazard-free environment.
- Complete detailed shift reports documenting completed tasks and any issues encountered during the shift.
Experience
- Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or industrial settings is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with cleaning chemicals, equipment operation, and safety standards related to commercial cleaning.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
