Our client is seeking an IAM Security Engineer to facilitate application onboarding into their Identity and Access Management infrastructure, analyze security log data, and develop Splunk configurations to map application security events to data models.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
- Facilitate discovery and engagement with application owners through interviews and working sessions
- Document application onboarding requirements and escalate risk mitigation plans for apps unable to onboard
- Coordinate troubleshooting efforts to prepare applications for onboarding
- Report ongoing status and escalate issues as required
- Analyze log data to identify relevant security events and map them to Splunk data models
- Develop Splunk technology add-ons to parse, event type, and tag application security data
- Test and quality assure Splunk configurations before release to production
- Develop and execute test plans and cases for new application functionality and collaborate with developers on issue resolution
Requirements
- 3 years of experience with IAM technologies and IAM concepts (Authentication, Authorization, RBAC)
- Hands-on expertise with Splunk Cloud and Splunk Processing Language (SPL)
- Experience developing Splunk technology add-ons and working with data models
- Proficiency with Cloud (PaaS) environments
- Strong experience with Jira and Jira Align
- Demonstrated experience with Agile methodology
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in EST hours and collaborate across teams
