SUMMARY
The Production Supervisor position is responsible for providing leadership and direction to team members with a focus on safety, quality, productivity, and continuous improvement for company’s various product lines including, but not limited to,Walk-in Van and Truck Bodies
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Planning and organizing production schedules to ensure timely delivery of products to customers.
- Monitoring production processes and equipment to identify and resolve issues that could impact production schedules.
- Ensuring that safety protocols are followed and that employees are trained and equipped to work safely in a manufacturing environment.
- Assigning tasks and delegating responsibilities to production staff, including providing coaching and feedback to ensure high levels of performance.
- Collaborating with other departments, including engineering, quality control, and maintenance, to ensure that production operations run smoothly.
- Maintaining accurate production records and reports, including inventory levels, quality control measures, and production output.
- Identifying opportunities to improve production processes, reduce waste, and increase efficiency.
- Ensuring that products meet quality standards and customer requirements, including conducting inspections and implementing corrective actions.
- Managing production staff, including scheduling shifts, hiring and training employees, and enforcing company policies and procedures.
- Communicating regularly with management to provide updates on production schedules, staffing needs, and performance metrics
