PRIMARY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ability to lead and support other departments from a technical basis.
Provide technical support to other departments.
Prepare sketches, drawings, and written descriptions as required to communicate concepts.
Coordinate with Application Engineers and with customers regarding customer needs and equipment capabilities.
Generate bills of materials and Engineering Change Orders as required.
Monitor assigned projects through production.
May coordinate activities of other engineers or technicians on a project basis.
Perform all duties as assigned.
SKILLS/EDUCATION:
Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Electronic Engineering or equivalent experience.
Prefer one to three years experience as Assistant Electrical Engineer.
WORK DEMANDS:
Willing and able to assist other departments with special needs; e.g., writing of technical manuals and materials.
Willing and able to work extended workdays, including evenings and weekends as necessary.
Willing and able to transport and use available electronic instrumentation for troubleshooting Thermotron or Customer systems.
Willing and able to operate a vehicle, as necessary to effectively work between Thermotron facilities and customer sites.
Must be willing to travel on commercial air transportation to effectively support field service requirements.
Willing and able to ascend, descend or climb stairs as needed to fulfill requirements.
Willing to spend extended periods of time at a computer workstation, keying or using design related software.
