About the Role
Are you a recent graduate looking to launch your engineering or design career? As a Designer, you'll work alongside experienced designers and engineers to help create heat tracing system design packages for industrial projects. This is an excellent opportunity to build technical skills, gain hands-on experience with AutoCAD, and learn industry best practices in a supportive, team-oriented environment.
You'll receive guidance and mentorship from senior team members while developing the skills needed to become a successful design professional.
What You'll Do
- Create and update design documents such as heat tracing isometrics, panel schedules, material lists, and location plans using AutoCAD.
- Assist with designing heat tracing systems based on customer requirements and project specifications.
- Review project documents, including P&IDs and piping drawings, to understand project scope and design needs.
- Support the preparation and revision of technical drawings throughout the project lifecycle.
- Follow established design standards, processes, and quality requirements.
- Maintain organized project files and ensure documentation is properly controlled and stored.
- Participate in design reviews and learn from feedback provided by experienced team members.
- Contribute ideas to improve design processes and team efficiency.
- Collaborate with designers, engineers, and project teams to deliver high-quality results.
What We're Looking For
- Basic understanding of electrical or mechanical engineering principles.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD or other CAD software through coursework, projects, internships, or personal experience.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.

Qualifications
Required
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related technical field.
Preferred
- Internship, co-op, academic project, or hands-on experience related to engineering design, CAD drafting, piping systems, or industrial processes.
- Exposure to AutoCAD or similar design software.
- Interest in industrial design, electrical systems, or process industries.
