What You’ll Do
Technical Responsibilities
- Lead and assist with start-up and commissioning of control systems
- Perform and support Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT)
- Read and interpret P&IDs, wiring diagrams, and field documentation
- Provide feedback on discrepancies between field conditions and design drawings
- Implement, troubleshoot, and refine PLC and HMI applications
- Review engineering documents for technical accuracy and quality
- Provide instrumentation specifications and support complex system designs
- Demonstrate understanding of network infrastructure and IT/OT environments as they relate to control systems
- Serve as the primary technical contact for assigned project tasks
- Communicate proactively, professionally, and with a solutions-focused approach
- Follow customer-specific site standards and procedures
- Provide excellent customer support through clear communication and consistent follow-up
- Execute assigned scopes accurately, on schedule, and within budget
- Identify issues outside defined scope and escalate appropriately
- Lead small to mid-sized project tasks and support larger, complex initiatives
- Anticipate project risks and propose solutions early
- Provide detailed progress updates and task feedback
- Identify opportunities for additional work with existing customers
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical discipline
- 4 years of experience in control systems engineering
- 2 years of experience leading project tasks or acting as a technical lead
- Strong hands-on experience with PLCs, HMIs, instrumentation, and industrial controls
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and translate them into field-ready solutions
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical abilities
- Clear communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- Ability to take initiative and ownership of assigned work
- Valid driver’s license and authorization to work in the U.S.
- Fit for Duty at all times
- Will support three Omaha-area sites within a 30-minute radius. Additional travel for training or future projects may be required
