What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNC Machine Operator position at Thermo King?
Essential Functions for CNC operator:
Responsible for the set-up, and operate various machines and equipment to; drill, grind, polish, CNC lathe parts components and/or assemblies in the production process to create a part.
Utilize industrial machines to turn raw materials into finished products or parts in the production process.
Can use multiple different types of machine tools such as grinders, cutters, and milling machines.
Can program and or operate multiple CNC industrial machines.
Includes determining dimensions and tolerances required to make a finished piece for complex parts.
Can operate multiple machines simultaneously.
Knowledge of metal properties and machining procedures
Ability to program machine and make adjustments.
Works alone or on a small team, works with limited supervision, will sometimes communicate with engineering or other production support functions.
Can train others on their position.
- Effective communication, including speaking, writing, active listening and taking instruction

- Quick troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read process sheets/ blueprints

- Uses various material handling equipment such as hoists, carts, lifts, and pallet Jacks
- Must be capable of standing on concrete floors during a normal 8-10 hour schedule shift.
- Will be required to perform bending, lifting, reaching, and climbing to efficiently perform this job.
Pay: From $19.92 per hour
