Manufacturing Inspection Technician - Night Shift

Pay: $21.69/hour
Schedule: Third Shift (Nights) | Monday through Thursday, 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM (12-hour rotating night shift)

As a Production Inspection Technician within the Filtration Solutions Division (FSD) in Stafford Springs, CT, you will play a key role in maintaining production and quality standards, helping ensure products meet the highest levels of excellence. This fully onsite position supports manufacturing operations in a collaborative environment focused on safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Line Operator in operating production equipment according to work instructions.
• Use judgment to identify and correct production issues.
• Exercise authority to stop production when equipment operation, employee safety, or product quality is at risk.
• Safely shut down equipment when necessary in the absence of the Line Operator.
• Perform quality tests throughout production runs and maintain accurate documentation and records.
• Process, inspect, and package material as it comes off the production line.
• Collaborate with team members to support efficient and smooth manufacturing operations.
• Seek guidance regarding quality standards and machine functions when needed.
• Observe all plant, company, and departmental safety rules and procedures.
• Identify and report all safety hazards to supervision.
• Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area.
• Properly label all products produced.
• Handle hazardous waste when required.
• Complete additional duties and training assignments as directed by department leadership and supervision.
• Perform all essential job functions as identified in the applicable Employer Job Description maintained by the Occupational Health Office.

Environment

• Fully onsite manufacturing environment.
• Third-shift/night-shift schedule.
• Some degree of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required, including but not limited to safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coats, ear plugs, and other required protective equipment.
• Role requires standing for extended periods throughout a 12-hour shift.
• Work includes operating production machinery and handling materials.
• Fast-paced and dynamic manufacturing environment.
• May involve handling hazardous waste.
• Ability to wear a respirator is required.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Basic math skills, including the use of formulas, decimals, and fractions.
• Knowledge of simple measuring devices.
• Ability to stand for a 12-hour period.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to wear a respirator.

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in manufacturing, operations, production, laboratory settings, or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of manufacturing machinery and equipment.
• Experience working in a cGMP/GMP-regulated environment.
