A Day in the Life:
- Oversee daily logistics operations while developing a collaborative team focused on safety, quality, and operational excellence.
- Manage receiving, storage, picking, packing and shipping activities to ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment for our customers who are working on scientific research and healthcare initiatives.
- Use Lean methodology and our Practical Process Improvement (PPI) system
- Support continuous improvement and optimize workflows while maintaining rigorous compliance with safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
Education
- High School Diploma/ GED required (Higher level degree preferred)
- Industry certifications like APICS, LEAN, Six Sigma are a plus
- 3 years of warehouse operations experience required
- Experience managing inventory accuracy and cycle counting programs
- 2 years of supervisory/leadership experience preferred
- Experience with cGMP, ISO and regulatory compliance preferred
- Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.) and Microsoft Office Suite
- Demonstrated success implementing process improvements and lean methodologies
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and team leadership skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
- Knowledge of hazardous materials handling and shipping regulations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and compliance
- Experience managing inventory accuracy and cycle counting programs
- Multiple language abilities a plus
- Capability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various temperature environments (ambient, cold storage, freezer)
- Ability to work different shifts and occasional overtime as needed
- Valid forklift certification required or ability to obtain
