How you will make an impact: Director, Strategic Growth and Innovation is responsible for improving growth for Pharma Services Group (PSG) through the development and execution of growth strategies. The Director, Strategic Growth and Innovation will work collaboratively with Strategy, Corporate Development and PSG Senior Leadership to develop and action on growth strategies with particular focus on M&A, external partnerships, and innovation roadmaps. The role reports to the VP of Strategy for PSG and is a member of the Strategy leadership team.

What you will do:

• Provides outside-in thought leadership on the future state of the industry and potential impact to overall strategy and businesses
• Applies advanced analytics to track, interpret, and share trends as it relates to competitors, emerging industry trends and deal flow.
• Collection and analyses voice of customer through multiple channels to inform strategies and innovation funnel
• Leads portfolio reviews, develops business cases and makes investment recommendations to provide leading capabilities to our customers while enhancing financial performance, includes make v. buy analysis
• Develops and deploys PSGs inorganic growth strategy; proactively identifies, profiles and makes recommendations for potential partnerships and acquisition targets
• Directs the M&A process across all stages of deal flow, including identification, screening, strategic rationale, valuation, diligence, and integration planning
• Partners with Business Leaders to develop and advance innovation and technology roadmaps, to include business case development and the formation of strategic partnerships.
• Acts as an active participant and influential member of the team, crafting strategy and enabling a high-performance culture

How you will get here:

• Bachelor’s degree in business or technical field, MBA strongly preferred

Experience

• 7 years of proven experience to include Life Sciences, M&A and Business Strategy
• Outstanding commercial and business insight; an ability to recognize growth opportunities and capitalize on them

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

• Advanced analytical capabilities with fluency in a range of data applications
• Direct M&A experience to include leading licensing and partnership agreements
• Experience with strategy development, scenario analysis, and financial modeling
• Ability to collaborate and work across a heavily matrixed environment with strong influence skills
• Highly self-motivated with ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously
• Comfortable working in ambiguity with attention to detail
