Purpose of the Job
The Calibration Technician ensures the accuracy and reliability of Thermo Electric’s temperature sensors and finished products by performing precise testing and calibration activities. This role follows established standards and procedures to maintain functional testing requirements and supports production, manufacturing, and quality teams through auxiliary testing, equipment upkeep, and continuous process improvement efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform company-specific testing and calibration processes in accordance with documented procedures.
- Maintain calibration laboratory equipment, instruments, and sensors following internal standards and supervisor direction.
- Process orders and calibration tasks in a timely and accurate manner.
- Assist in material movement, tracking orders and material accurately.
- Enter data to record test results and support material traceability.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and materials used in testing.
- Create, transfer, and share documents efficiently within Microsoft 365.
- Assist with troubleshooting basic test equipment issues.
- Communicate test status and production updates to the team, supervisor, or manager.
- Contribute positively to the work environment and support a collaborative team culture.

Qualifications
Required:
- High school diploma or GED.
- 1–3 years of experience in electronics, production testing, or a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Outlook and Excel.
- Basic electronics repair and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience using calibration or test equipment.
- Ability to read and write in English (many team members also speak Spanish).
Preferred:
- Associate Degree in Electronic Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, Precision Measurement Technology, or Instrumentation and Control Technology.
Compensation: Hourly rate based on education and experience; starting at $20 per hour.
