Purpose of the Job:
To provide finance-related support to accounting and finance functions that conform to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and be responsible daily operation processes and transactions. This position has responsibility for maintaining accurate books on accounts payable and accounts receivable, daily financial entries and reconciliations and performing daily accounting tasks such as a monthly financial reporting, general journal entries, and recording payments and adjustments.
Specific Responsibilities Include:
Accounts Receivable – Invoicing customers and payment collection. Own the aging and past due collection process.
Accounts Receivable – Processing credit card payments. Reconciling merchant statements.
Accounts Payable – Purchase order and bill reconciliation, vendor bill entry, overhead bills.
Accounts Payable – Reconcile company credit card statements.
Prepare and submit financial and compliance documentation, including ACH setup forms, W-9s, sales tax exemption forms, certificates, and other required vendor or customer paperwork in a timely and accurate manner.
Support the accounting-related functions for shipping and receiving. Perform other accounting, financial, or administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications Required:
Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance, preferred
1-3 years of experience in an accounting position with general accounting knowledge.
Must have the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
Critical thinking and problem solving, organized, self-starter, and reliable.
Must be detail-oriented.
Familiarity with ERP systems, Microsoft Office, Xero, Asana, and other SaaS applications are a plus, but not required.
Hours:
Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Hybrid schedule available after job entry training period.
Compensation:
Compensation based on education and experience, starting at $48,000 full time.
