Position Overview:
A division of TLIE, Thermionics Metal Processing, Inc. ("TMPI") is seeking an accomplished mid-level Chemical Lab Technician within the Semiconductor industry with specialized knowledge base for laboratory apparatus, troubleshooting skills and cleanroom expertise. The ideal candidate will come onboard with chemical testing, analysis, neutralization and the regulated disposal of chemicals and wastewater experience in addition to a strong knowledge base of water pre-treatment and water purification methods.
Key Responsibilities:
Chemical Analysis
- Buy off all production chemical holding tanks meeting upper and lower control limits through sample taking
- Run analysis through laboratory apparatus including but not limited to:
- ICP-OES
- AAS
- pH meter
- Balances
- Turbidity meter
- Ultrasonic meter
- Perform trace metal analysis
- Pre and post release of chemical tanks through tank change and additions
- Review COA against received chemicals confirming purity and concentration range meet regulatory compliance.
- Chart all chemical tank analysis data through SPC method
RO/DI Water Analysis
- Analyses of UPW confirming specification limits are within range under resistivity and pH value
- Acidity and alkalinity test using litmus for UPW analysis.
- Guide managers on workforce planning and the deployment of contract or specialized talent as needed.
- Trace contamination analysis on UPW
- Pre-treatment of wastewater, testing and regulated release to the city
Key Contamination Testing Methods
- Liquid particle Counter (LPC) analysis and reporting data on processed goods
- Nonvolatile Residue (NVR) analysis and reporting data on processed goods
Key Records and Documentation Requirements
- Equipment calibration records through maintaining calibration logs, certificates and repair logs for all laboratory apparatus inclusive of calibration due date, results, calibration vendor and calibration pass sticker on equipment
- Technical and compliant record keeping including but not limited to NVR, LPC, SPC, COA and
- Environmental record keeping of controlled cleanroom environment with temperature, humidity and particle counts for each critical cleanroom zone
- Training records need to be live against current SOP practice for each authorized technician body
- Controlled documentation for all floating documents through nomenclature and record keeping practices
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in Chemistry, Engineering or a Science related field
- Minimum of 2-5 years of applicable hands-on wet analysis with lab apparatus analysis experience
- Ability to work in a cross functional environment
- Written and oral fluency on all engagement forums
- Ability to meet all safety compliance requirements with use of safety protocol in cleanroom and lab setting as per Co. policy
