Job Overview:
As a Warehouse Worker/Order Selector at our Electric and Gas Welding and Soldering Company, you will be responsible for accurately selecting, packing, and preparing orders of welding and soldering equipment, consumables, and safety gear for shipment to our customers.
Responsibilities:
Order Selection & Picking:
- Review pick tickets, customer orders, and shipping schedules to determine required items for each order.
- Verify product specifications including size, type, material compatibility, and quantity before picking.
Quality Control & Inspection:
- Inspect all products for damage, defects, or signs of wear before packing.
- Verify that electrical cords, plugs, and connections on welding machines are intact and undamaged.
- Flag any damaged or non-conforming products for immediate review by management.
Order Packing & Preparation:
- Safely pack orders using appropriate materials to prevent damage during transit, including bubble wrap, foam, dividers, and heavy-duty boxes.
- Assemble kits or multi-item orders, ensuring all components are included.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Strong attention to detail and a focus on accuracy in all tasks.
Basic computer skills for processing orders and managing inventory.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $21.69 - $25.72 per hour
Expected hours: 20 per week
