Interpret part drawings and precisely build them to specification. Use provided tools to assemble and weld components to print.Requirements and Duties:Understanding TIG Welder control panel and operationsSetup and operate automated welding processesKnowledge of Welding GasesKnowledge of Electrode types and diametersAbility to use precision measuring tools skillfullyReading mechanical dials and digital measuring equipment to .001 inchReading mechanical scales in Inches and MillimetersAssemble and fixture parts to meet production rate standardsPerform welding to visual and dimensional standardsOperate various hand tools clamps, files, and wrenchesOperate various pneumatic and electrical toolsAbility to setup and weld to print with little to no supervisionAbility to setup and operate equipment listed above with little to no supervision.Fillet and Butt welds on .250” and thicker Aluminum plate, and .063- .125” Aluminum Sheet metal.Qualifications and Skills:Welding certification preferred3 years or more of relevant job experienceAbility to read written instructions and follow verbal instructions.Read and interpret assembly drawings, dimensions and tolerances.Read and identify all components specified in a bill of materialsPhysical Demands: While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear and taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.Work Environment: high noise level associated with manufacturing facility.
