Job Summary: The Compliance Specialist will support the organization by handling a variety of administrative compliance functions, including Trade Compliance, and corporate registrations currently maintained by ThermOmegaTech. The Compliance Specialist will also support process development and continuous improvement objectives in various departments, in conjunction with the Compliance Manager.
Responsibilities:
1.Compliance Functions:
- Maintain databases for business-critical information, including but not limited to data entry in ERP system, Non-Disclosure Agreements, licenses and registrations, and denied party screening.
- Liaise with various government offices to attain accurate product classifications, export authorizations, and new various government registrations
- File for and manage export licenses for EAR and ITAR-controlled products.
- Resolve export-related questions from various departments, including Inside Sales, Product Management, Engineering, and Shipping.
- Attend and maintain knowledge of changing regulations.
- Manage Denied Party Screening activities to ensure all business dealings are in accordance with various denial listings and sanction programs.

Strong experience in logistics with an emphasis on International Shipping and Receiving Operations.
Resolve Trade Compliance questions and concerns from multiple functional groups within the organization.
2.Process Development:
- Identify and lead various process development, and continuous improvement initiatives to incorporate Compliance best practices into organization processes.
- Liaise with other departments to identify training needs, process gaps, and additional areas for compliance support.
- Support the communication of contract flow down requirements and logistical elements to Accounting and Shipping departments.

Ensure sensitive technical data is classified and safeguarded on network and in PLM (Windchill).
Support data integrity and retention requirements as required.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Business, Supply Chain, Political Science, International Relations or equivalent work experience.
- Working knowledge of logistics as it relates to export and import
- Knowledge of FARS, DFARS, and Buy American regulations preferred but not required.
- Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with MS Office with emphasis on Excel and other business software.
- Ability to multi-task and re-prioritize tasks based on the level of urgency.
- Ability to work independently, and at times, with minimal supervision.
- Strong team player and willing to assist in new challenges presented to the department and organization.
