Job Overview
The Production Manager is responsible for performing daily warehouse duties in a fast-paced environment while leading and supporting the warehouse team. This position works alongside team members in receiving, production support, inventory control, and shipping operations. The Production Manager ensures work is completed safely, accurately, and efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality, organization, and teamwork.
Responsibilities
Warehouse Operations
- Oversee daily warehouse activities including receiving, storage, production support, and shipping.
- Coordinate workflow and assign tasks to warehouse team members to meet daily production and shipping goals.
- Maintain an organized, clean, and efficient warehouse environment.
- Ensure shipping board and work schedules are accurate and up to date for team visibility.
Team Leadership & Safety
- Lead, train, and support warehouse staff.
- Conduct and participate in regular safety meetings.
- Enforce safety policies and ensure compliance with company standards and OSHA regulations.
- Promote a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Inventory Control
- Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels of fiberglass, facing, supplies, and accessories.
- Oversee receiving processes and verify accuracy of incoming materials.
- Maintain receiving logs, warehouse transfer forms, and proper documentation.
- Assist with cycle counts and inventory audits to ensure accuracy.
Shipping & Logistics
- Coordinate daily shipping schedules to ensure timely deliveries.
- Check for accurate Bills of Lading (BOLs) and verify load accuracy.
- Assist with load planning and sequencing for efficiency.
- Work with carriers and brokers to ensure reliable pickups and deliveries.
Documentation & Reporting
- Ensure proper documentation for shipments, transfers, and daily production reporting.
- Monitor operational metrics such as productivity and order accuracy.
- Support management with reporting needs as required.
Equipment & Facility Support
- Monitor warehouse equipment including forklifts and material handling equipment.
- Report maintenance needs and assist with preventive maintenance scheduling.
- Support general warehouse upkeep and organization.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 3 years of warehouse experience; prior lead or supervisory experience preferred.
- Valid forklift certification or ability to obtain certification.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, shipping/receiving procedures, and inventory control.
- Ability to operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Basic computer skills and experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) or ERP systems preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret shipping documents such as Bills of Lading (BOLs) and packing slips.
- Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to motivate and support a team.
- Ability to lift up to 50–75 pounds regularly and work in a warehouse environment that may include dust, temperature fluctuations, and noise.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
