Duties
- Engage with customers to understand their needs and recommend suitable products or services, emphasizing upselling opportunities.
- Build and maintain lasting client relationships through excellent communication and personalized service.
- Conduct route driving to visit retail stores, clients, or distribution points, ensuring timely deliveries and pickups in compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations.
- Assist with merchandising efforts to display products attractively and optimize sales potential at retail locations.
- Manage automobile transportation logistics, including safe loading, heavy lifting using proper techniques, and ensuring safe lifting practices during product handling.
- Monitor pricing strategies to stay competitive while maximizing profit margins.
- Maintain organized records of sales activities, client interactions, route schedules, and inventory levels.
Requirements
- Proven experience in retail store environments or sales roles with strong customer service skills.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with experience in commercial truck driving or route driving.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations related to commercial transportation.
- Basic math skills for calculating pricing, discounts, and order quantities.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and follow safe lifting practices consistently.
- Excellent communication skills for effective client interaction and team collaboration.
- Experience in merchandising, client relationship building, upselling techniques, and organizational skills.
- Background in military service is a plus, demonstrating discipline and adaptability.
