Associate Therapist (APCC or AMFT) Hybrid, Lafayette office (SF Bay Area)

At TheraThrive (an established group practice), we specialize in neurodiversity, which includes autism, ADHD, giftedness, learning disabilities and more. We support highly sensitive and intense children, teens and adults. We are also experienced in testing, assessment, and treating anxiety, depression, and just about everything else. We help with people who are dealing with a variety of challenges, such as existential depression, generalized anxiety, OCD, sleep problems, emotional reactivity, transition concerns, problematic behaviors, addiction, need for self-understanding, parenting stress, anger issues, overwhelm, work stress, relationship concerns, and more. We are a team of neurodivergent and neurodivergent affirming clinicians specializing in serving neurodivergent people of all ages, and their families and communities, and we offer counseling, consultation, social groups, neurofeedback, and assessment for neurodivergent children, teens, adults, couples, parents, and families.

We’re seeking a part-time Associate Therapist based at our office in Lafayette, CA. This position will start part-time and has the potential to grow into full-time. This is a hybrid position, where hours in-office are required.

Our practice focuses on serving neurodivergent populations and also those who with autoimmune disorders, such as PANS and PANDAS. We serve all ages (children, teens, adults, families, and groups). Our clients are typically neurodivergent, intense, highly sensitive and bright, which we value and love to work with.

Hours

• Part-time employee: 18-25 total work hours per week (15 client hours/week)
• Full-time is 30-40 total work hours per work (25 client hours/week)

Requirements include

• Current State of California BBS Registration as an APCC or AMFT
• An interest in working with clients of all ages (we serve children and adults; it is likely that more than half of your clinical caseload will be children, including young children ages 5 )
• Willingness to provide a comprehensive website bio to help grow your recognition in the community
• A keen interest in learning about neurodivergence, autism, ADHD, giftedness, high sensitivity, anxiety, OCD, TBI, learning disabilities, and autoimmune is essential

A big plus if you have

• Prior knowledge of neurodivergent populations, autism, ADHD, giftedness, highly sensitive populations, OCD, TBI, learning disabilities, etc.
• Prior knowledge of autoimmune conditions, especially PANS
• Neurofeedback experience (we provide 19 channel neurofeedback)
• IOP and/or group therapy experience
• Particular experience/knowledge that will complement our mission of serving neurodivergent populations
• Child therapy, family therapy, parenting support experience, and/or co-parenting support experience

Compensation

$50/hr for client service hours (to start), and $25/hr for administrative hours (admin hours are for required meetings, including supervision hours); paid out twice per month.

Part-time Associate Therapist Compensation Example, 21 hours/week, at $50/hr, $25/hr:

• 18 client hours and 3 admin hours per week x 50 weeks is $48,750 gross annually, plus paid sick leave and 401K matching (subject to applicable state and federal withholdings)

Full-time Associate Therapist Compensation Example, 31 hours/week, at $50/hr, $25/hr:

• 26 client hours and 5 admin hours per week x 50 weeks is $71,250 gross annually, plus paid sick leave, 401K matching, health insurance benefits, life insurance benefit, paid time off (PTO), paid holidays, CE units benefits (as applicable) (subject to applicable state and federal withholdings)
