Job Summary
Pediatric Occupational Therapist will evaluate and treat children ages 0-18 years with a variety of conditions/diagnoses including, but not limited to: neuromuscular conditions, cerebral palsy, TBI, Down Syndrome, orthopedic conditions, autism, stroke, torticollis, developmental delay, chromosomal abnormalities. Effective communication and documentation are essential to this position. The occupational therapist will participate as a member of the interdisciplinary team.
Essential Functions
- Evaluate and treat pediatric clients (age 0-18 years) effectively with a variety of conditions/diagnoses
- Supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants- provide required documentation and supervision as per company regulations
- Demonstrate competency in all duties related to an occupational therapist
- Participate in staff meetings and educational activities
- Maintain files online or in charts per set guidelines
- Collaborate with other therapists and families in order to provide best care of client
- Clear and concise therapy documentation of evaluations, daily notes, treatment plans, discharge summaries, and supervisory notes in a timely manner that comply with the company’s standards.
- Maintain strictest confidentiality, adheres to all HIPPA regulations
- Will strive for excellence in achieving our client’s and company’s goals
- Other responsibilities may be added at the company’s discretion
Job Requirements and Qualifications
Education: Master of Occupational Therapy Degree from an accredited institution
- Current Occupational Therapist License as per S.C. Department of LLR
- Valid driver’s license
- All immunizations up to date (childhood)
- Current with OT CEU requirements per S.C. Department of LLR
- Pediatric occupational therapy experience
- Dress in professional manner
- Must be well organized and detail-oriented
- Demonstrated record of good work attendance and reliability
- Flexible in work habits and work schedule
- Position requires a professional demeanor
- Must submit to background check
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Must be able to transfer client over 50 pounds with help of another individual.
- Must maintain continuing education as per state licensure regulations.
- Must be a team player. Collaboration with other therapists, families, and physicians is key to a child’s success.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $38.00 - $40.00 per hour
